Thredgards recognises that the combined disciplines of quality, health and safety, and environmental management are an integral part of its management function. Thredgards views these as primary responsibilities and, as a result, one of the keys to good business.

We work closely with our customers and suppliers and hence we develop lasting customer relationships.  We achieve this by putting our customers’ needs first and foremost. For example, we consult with our customers as to future requirements and lead times, so enabling us to keep the correct stock levels.

In addition, we train our staff in the following needs and responsibilities:

Quality principles as well as environmental management, resulting in a culture of quality throughout the company.

Keeping of training records coupled with continuous monitoring and analysis. This results in training needs of all staff being identified and implemented, as well as the development of key personnel.

Incident control and response resulting in a safety conscious culture, with a view to helping staff to feel safe and secure in their roles.

A copy of this quality policy is available to all employees, suppliers and customers.

Thredgards and the environment

Thredgards has a keen interest in ensuring a clean and healthy environment, which you can read about in our Environmental Statement.

We will continue to improve systems, reduce waste and efficiently utilise resources in order to meet the environmental challenges of the world we live in. Moreover, we strive to keep our wasteage of raw materials and other resources to a bare minimum. For instance, we recycle our own plastic waste on site to be re-used and we only put out one wheelie bin per week to landfill. Consequently, this allows us to keep costs as low as possible for our customers whilst minimising our impact on the environment. We have scrutinised every part of our business to find ways to reduce our carbon footprint. At the same time this provides best value for our customers not to mention the high standard of products they expect.

More

We are a major supplier for some of our customers involved in the automotive industry supply chain. Our customers require some of the parts we supply to them to be PPAP Level 3 approved.

PPAP L3 involves a rigorous documented process that measures both the quality of our products and our customer service and process flow.

In conclusion, we are proud that our excellent reputation and working relationships are taking us forward in this direction.
